SAE flange clamps lock hydraulic flange connections in place. Two styles. Two pressure ratings. Sizes from 1/2 inch to 3 inch. Pick the one that fits your system.

Two Styles, Two Ratings

We stock four series of SAE flange clamps. They fall into two families by design, each available in two pressure classes.

Split Clamps — FL / FS

  • Two halves bolt together around the flange

  • Easy to install and remove for service

  • FL: 3000 PSI, 1/2" to 3"

  • FS: 6000 PSI, 1/2" to 2"

Solid Clamps — FL-W / FS-W

  • One-piece body, slides over the flange

  • Stiffer, better in tight spaces

  • FL-W: 3000 PSI, 1/2" to 3"

  • FS-W: 6000 PSI, 1/2" to 2"

Split Flange Clamps — FL & FS

Service-friendly design

Two-piece construction means you can replace seals or hoses without pulling the entire assembly apart.

Even clamping force

Bolts pull from both sides. The flange face seats square against the O-ring every time.

Standard bolt patterns

Matches SAE J518 Code 61 (3000 PSI) and Code 62 (6000 PSI) flange dimensions.

Wide size range

FL covers 1/2" through 3". FS covers 1/2" through 2".

Solid Flange Clamps — FL-W & FS-W

One-piece body

No halves to align. Slide it on, torque the bolts, done.

Compact footprint

Works where a split clamp would be too bulky. Common in tight manifold layouts.

High rigidity

Monoblock construction resists deformation under vibration and shock loads.

Same bolt specs

Uses the same bolt sizes as the split series. No special hardware needed.

Where They Work

SAE flange clamps show up wherever hydraulic lines run at medium to high pressure:

  • Excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and cranes

  • Tractors, harvesters, and sprayers

  • Injection molding and die-casting machines

  • Steel mill and mining equipment

  • Marine deck machinery and offshore systems

Why Hand Hydraulic

Hand Hydraulic flange clamps are forged from alloy steel, then quenched and tempered. Every batch goes through dimensional inspection before it leaves the floor. The result is a clamp that seats flush, holds torque, and does not crack under cyclic loads.

All four series follow SAE J518. Bolt patterns and flange face dimensions match Code 61 and Code 62 specs. If your flange head is standard, these clamps fit.

We ship from stock on common sizes. Custom orders are welcome. For full specs, see our hydraulic fittings catalog or reach out directly.

FAQ

Are these flange clamps compatible with standard SAE flanges?

Yes. Hand Hydraulic flange clamps follow SAE J518 standards. They fit all standard SAE Code 61 and Code 62 flange heads from 1/2 inch to 3 inch.

What is the difference between split and solid flange clamps?

Split clamps (FL, FS) come in two halves. You bolt them around the flange from both sides. Solid clamps (FL-W, FS-W) are one-piece. You slide them over the flange from one end. Split clamps are easier to service. Solid clamps are stiffer and take up less space.

What pressure can these flange clamps handle?

The FL and FL-W series are rated for 3000 PSI (Code 61). The FS and FS-W series are rated for 6000 PSI (Code 62). Exact pressure varies by size. See the dimension tables above for per-size ratings in MPa.

What material are the flange clamps made from?

Hand Hydraulic flange clamps are forged from alloy steel, then quenched and tempered. The surface treatment adds corrosion resistance. They hold up under vibration and repeated loading.

Do you stock all sizes? What are the lead times?

Hand Hydraulic stocks common sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inch in both 3000 PSI and 6000 PSI ratings. Larger sizes up to 3 inch are made to order. Standard orders ship within 3–5 business days. Contact us for bulk lead times.
