Polypropylene (PP) pipe clamps secure tubes and pipes in industrial fluid systems. The clamp body is injection-molded from polypropylene resin, which gives it good chemical resistance and a high strength-to-weight ratio.
A complete clamp assembly has three parts: the PP clamp body, a steel cover plate, and a base plate welded to the mounting surface. Two hex bolts pull the cover plate down to grip the pipe.
PP clamps suit medium and low pressure lines carrying water, mild chemicals, compressed air and similar fluids. They work where metal clamps would corrode or where weight matters.
Polypropylene resists acids, alkalis, salts and most organic solvents. It does not rust. This makes PP clamps a fit for chemical plants, plating shops and coastal installations.
PP clamps hold from -30°C up to +90°C. That range covers most indoor and outdoor industrial settings. For hotter or colder lines, see our nylon pipe clamps or aluminium pipe clamps.
Choose a grooved bore (type G) for better grip and vibration damping. Choose a smooth bore (type S) when the pipe surface needs protection from scratches or marking.
The two-bolt design lets you install or remove a clamp in seconds. No special tools needed beyond a hex wrench.

Each clamp has a code like T L P G 3-4 26.9 A-C-4.8. Here is what each part means:
Order code breakdown — material, bore, size, base plate and bolt grade codes for pipe clamp selection.
T — pipe clamp product line
L — light duty series
P — polypropylene body (N = nylon, L = aluminium, G = steel, B = stainless)
G — grooved bore (S = smooth)
3-4 — size series number
26.9 — pipe outside diameter in mm
A — pressed weld base plate (B = nut weld plate)
C — metal parts material code
4.8 — bolt grade

Polypropylene clamps are common across several industries:
Chemical processing — acid and alkali transfer lines where metal clamps would corrode
Water treatment — dosing lines, filter feed pipes and drain lines
Food and beverage — CIP (clean-in-place) piping and rinse lines
Compressed air — shop air distribution in factories and workshops
HVAC — chilled water and condensate drain pipes
Marine — fresh water and grey water lines on vessels
PP clamps are not rated for high-temperature steam lines or fire mains. Use aluminium clamps for those.
We stock the full L0 to L8 size range in polypropylene, nylon and aluminium. We ship standard items within 48 hours and can mold custom bores for non-standard pipe sizes.
Every order is checked against your pipe spec before it leaves our warehouse. If you need help choosing a material, bore type or bolt grade, our engineers will review your application details and recommend the right configuration.
We also supply matching base plates and hydraulic fittings so you can source your full assembly in one place.
Polypropylene pipe clamps work from -30 to +90 degrees Celsius. For colder or hotter environments, Hand Hydraulic also offers nylon clamps rated -40 to +120C and aluminium clamps rated -50 to +300C.
Polypropylene pipe clamps are rated for medium and low pressure systems up to PN 8 MPa. This covers most general industrial fluid and gas piping applications.
PP pipe clamps come in nine series from L0 to L8, covering pipe outside diameters from 6 mm to 102 mm (approximately 1/4 inch to 4 inches). Each series includes multiple bore sizes to match standard steel, copper and plastic tubes.
Grooved bore clamps (type G) grip the pipe tighter and resist axial movement. Smooth bore clamps (type S) protect delicate pipe surfaces from scratches. We can help you pick the right option based on your pipe material and vibration conditions.
Yes. Polypropylene has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and most solvents. This makes PP clamps a cost-effective choice for chemical plants, electroplating lines and water treatment facilities.
